Tarot card readings are a practice that involves the use of a deck of tarot cards to gain insights, guidance, and understanding about various aspects of life. There are a deck of 78 cards, typically divided into two main groups: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. Each card in the deck carries symbolic imagery and holds its own meaning and interpretation. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, interest in tarot cards and their use for divination grew, particularly with the publication of Arthur Edward Waite’s Rider-Waite Tarot deck, which became one of the most popular and widely recognized tarot decks to this day. This deck incorporated intricate imagery and symbolism curated by Pamela Colman Smith. It’s important to note that tarot card readings are not about predicting the future with certainty, but rather about providing insights and guidance that can assist individuals in making informed decisions and gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and their life circumstances.
Before the reading, take some time to prepare yourself spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Reflect on the questions or areas of your life that you would like to explore during the reading. It can be helpful to write down specific questions or intentions to focus on during the session. At the beginning of the reading, keep in mind the thoughts, feelings and questions you’ve pondered. Even as the cards are shuffling, keep your intentions held in mind and open your heart to the messages being communicated. Always take what resonates. Readings are about confirmation, not fixing your reality to one set future. We’ll start off with shuffling the cards with the intention set on the type of reading you requested. There will be 3 oracle cards giving us the bigger picture themes of our reading. As well as, 3 tarot cards sharing the possible events and archetypes being experienced in your field. We’ll discuss the card interpretation and at the end we may pull some additional clarification cards if there are still questions. After the reading, take some time to reflect on the messages and insights received. Consider how they resonate and how you can apply them in your life. It is most accurate to see divination readings as an opportunity for self-reflection, guidance, and empowerment.
