February 2025 Astro Report: Reminders from the season of love

On February 1st Venus conjunct Neptune at 27° Pisces. A strong start for Venus in the season dedicated to her son Eros/Cupid’s upcoming holiday. A final reminder for the Neptunian Pisces energy since come the end of March it will be moving into Aries. Venus and Neptune coming together can create the most dreamiest of loves. Truly something out of a fairytale kinda feeling! However, it is always important to stay grounded and maybe not to wisest to be “swept off our feet”. Saturn is also in Pisces although not conjunct, remains in the room as a silent yet profound reminder of being responsible with the powerful tool of love, romance and sensuality. Truthfully, I feel this sentiment may be further communicated on the holiday itself with Mercury entering Pisces on the 14th.
Venus has also made contact with the retrograding North Node currently in 29° Pisces on February 3rd. North Node energy is that which supports the direction of the Sun, our life’s purpose. In adhering to the skills of one’s North Node, we can better embrace our Sun sign’s full potential. The retrograding energy isn’t anything to be afraid or disheartened with. If anything, it is an internalized energy which can sometimes be the association with retrograde seasons being rough. It’s really hard for some people to introspect so they’ll project and project and project to avoid the truth within. In any case, don’t be that guy and be the one who sits with oneself and create a healthy relationship within. Venus reminds us of our worth, our values, our richness, our beauty, our love- these things will fuel fulfilling our sacred contracts and divine life purpose. It isn’t the time to self neglect. The current climate is exhausting, terrifying, unforeseeable and our responsibility to ourselves is to remain pillars of love, strength and direction.
In my own life, this was receiving the final straw news about something I knew didn’t sit right in my being. It isn’t easy to remove yourself from spaces which don’t serve, people who hinder us or habits that help us cope but don’t push us forward. It was scary to speak my truth and I feel if only I spoke up from the beginning. Alas, we all live and learn, grow and sow. I’m getting better at not people pleasing and giving actual constructive criticism, instead of just taking the injustice and boiling over burning myself in the process. There is space still to improve and that is exciting. Our perspective on these matters is what allows them to make or break us.
The passionate yet informed lover
For the beginning of the February 2025 astro report, the elements we are collectively focusing on are Air and Fire. On February 4th, Venus entered Aries and Jupiter went direct in Gemini. Venus is in detriment with the sign of Aries being hosted and likewise with Jupiter in Gemini. The energy is often “exiled” and not easy to express. Venus enjoys the sensibilities of Taurus and the thoughtfulness of Libra, with Aries it can be too abrasive, unrefined and reckless. Jupiter enjoys the open-mindedness of Sagittarius and holistic approach of Pisces. Needless to say, there is certainly a unique and proactive way to express these energies but it’ll take a slightly different approach than typical Aries and Gemini energy. It is important to maintain the passion, drive and follow through of a healthy Aries expression- avoid pushiness, forcefulness and moving ahead without a proper plan. That being said, with Jupiter in Gemini don’t over-do it on the other side of the scales! Fixating on the micro will overwhelm you, Jupiter is more interested in the macro, bigger picture ideas- it’s okay to not know everything.
As I am writing this on February 6th, Venus in Aries is currently Quintile Jupiter in Gemini. It’ll serve us collectively to value intelligence and information before we move forward guns blazing. The more informed one is the more “lucky” they’ll appear, when truthfully it’s simply just doing the extra work of prioritizing “reading the room” vs. pushing one’s own agenda. Quintiles are connected to our innate talents and creativity. With Jupiter no longer retrograde, we can now feel the spark to externalize our newfound discoveries, intel, and projections for the future. Aries Venus will fuel the fire we need to move things along and Jupiter Gemini can help this unconventional expression have a creative and auspicious outlet.
Come February 9th the Sun will be conjunct Mercury at 20° in Aquarius. In degree theory 20° is a Scorpio degree, thus adding stronger fixed energy to this transit. Generally, when the Sun and Mercury come together something is communicated, illuminated or divined. Aquarius is ruled by two transpersonal planets; Saturn and Uranus which are both going through major shifts this year! With Mercury in Aquarius, we are mostly interested in interpersonal skills and the bigger picture of humanity. It is because of this sentiment that Aquarius is in detriment when hosted by the Sun. The Sun wants us to focus on ourselves as individuals and Aquarius is interested in the collective and world around them more than the individual self. This conjunction can be helpful to explore what community means to us as individuals and how to ask for/create/generate it.
In my experience, it is also very important to discern what a healthy, functional, proactive community looks like. Especially with all the Piscean energy in the air, there can be illusions and delusions around this idea. What is a community and what is a cult? Though the Scorpio degree will keep us on our toes and investigative, however we may see things we didn’t expect to or that are deceptive. Regardless, we are getting to a deep and profound truth. Check what house Aquarius rules in your natal chart to explore what this message may be in regards to you. Looking at the aspects between this conjunction and the ruling planets of Aquarius, we see that the Sun and Mercury will be semi-sextile Saturn in Pisces and Square Uranus in Taurus. Expect to lose some footing and groundedness from any upcoming clarity and revelations. Remembering one’s responsibility to the human experience is to experience. Embrace all parts of it and embody the observer to maintain some structure to the process. With the Full Moon in Leo 24° on February 12th, this adds another fixed sign to the blend of illuminated insight and energy. Fixed signs are energetically stabilizers, maintainers and persisters. They sustain their season while cardinal signs introduce/initiate it and mutable signs exit/release/transform it. Allow your creativity to lead you especially from February 9th to February 12th. This isn’t the energy of creating for the simple sake of expression, it is the best of both worlds! Have your unique expressing and allow it to be a steady ground to build on your inspired ideas.
The Dumbing Down of Love
From mid February to the end we will see some movement with water signs. The Universe is supplying a beautiful container to practice balance between our masculine and feminine energies. Upgrades are always available during all transits and truly it’s whether we decide to ride the wave and do the work. During this time, we will be receiving deeper insights into our ability to truly connect to source/spirit/God (insert the many names). Be meditative, observant, receptive and explore your inner landscape and it’s relationship to the self, outer landscape, others, nature-all things. Checking the houses that host Cancer and Pisces in your natal chart will better inform you on what parts of your life may be starting anew (Cancer-Cardinal energy and transforming/ coming to an end (Pisces-mutual energy).
As previously mentioned, Mercury enters Pisces on February 14th which kicks off the watery season approaching. The Sun will enter Pisces on February 18th moving us into the last phase of Winter. We’re making our ways back up to land from the theoretical Underworld cave. The roots into the rich and fertile soils of our deepest introspections, dreams and ideas have reached the bottom- the sturdiest of roots. It is time to start making our ways back up and up and up- branching forward into the tallest, the strongest of trees. Come February 23rd, Neptune will be conjunct the North Node in Pisces at 28°. This can be a time of dreams coming true and things being actualized, tangible. The path to success will be inlay with obstacles regarding illusion, disillusionment or denial. Destiny is more mutable than we believe it to be. If we really choose to utilize this time and take our dreams seriously, there is a “impossible made possible” aspect of our lives that can come true. The culmination of this may be following through the entire transit until July 2026.
Additionally, we have Mars going direct (finally ._.) in Cancer 17° on February 24th! Mars is at fall when Cancer is the residing sign. Some of us may have been playing small during this retrograde as to not “rock the boat”. This may have appeared to be the safer and wiser action and perhaps at that time it was. However, with this placement if we want to achieve the Cancerian need of comfort, safety and soul family- we have to be willing to in the great, possibly repeated words of Keanu Reeves, “-fight for what we love”.
Mastering the Inner Waters By Being The Container
On February 25th, Mercury and Saturn will be conjunct in Pisces 20°. If ya missed the first train to earlier in the month’s illuminations, this is still a good place to hop on the next one when it comes to recognizing karmic patterns, people and places. In this same breath, also a wonderful place to eye potential dharmic patterns, people and places- our duties, soul missions and moral obligations. It’s a good time to set the perimeters and be communicated well! Note though that Mercury is both detriment and fall in Pisces- it may be hard to get things said linearly but Saturn will surely get our point across. Just make sure you do the mental/emotional work before setting up the boundaries.
I’ll finish things off by mentioning the New Moon in Pisces 9° on February 28th. The ice that once surrounded that part of our hearts has melted, magical keys in your pocket opening the doors which were once closed- these are the endings that are beginnings. Rest assured if you trusted your intuition and had your head and heart in agreement- this new beginning will bring great peace and deepened trust in ourselves. We can especially find beauty in the overlap- pain which bred success, heartache that birthed true love, grief giving rise to purpose. This world, as much as we’d like to ignore, is truly a mystery. A space, time and essence which we will never fully grasp. No amount of technology, spiritual excursions or dissecting will give us all the answers- that is the magic of an ever expanding, contracting, moving, birthing and dying Universe. Yet, there is this knowing and connecting to this greater Universe- a familiarity and comfort if you will. There is a gentle pulsating of matter and essence which invites our observation and invokes our action. A deeper relationship to the self; our needs, wants, dreams, goals, triggers will assuredly create a deeper relationship with all.
